OUR MINISTRIES
As a unified Body of Christ, we tap into resources within and outside of the church to bring glory and honor to His name. We are Disciples of Christ, as he has called us to be. All are Welcome!
Elders, Deacons/Deaconesses, and Board Members hold stewardship positions in our church. Be a part of the body of Christ through service to His church.

Sunday school
We gather prior to the Worship Service on Sundays for more detailed and conversational worship and learning. Adults and children are invited to participate in educational and devotional topics. All are Welcome here!
Youth
We believe wholeheartedly in bringing our future generations into the loving, eternal light of Christ. They are included in our services and special children's sermons are provided. We offer Sunday School for school age kids. We are known to attend community events in support of youth outreach.
Global Ministries
The Christian Church Disciples of Christ has its very own global outreach program. It supports missionary interns and volunteers throughout the world, and finds children in need to sponsor within the U.S. Oakland Christian Church sponsors Christian, a child in the Phillipines. Riverside Food Pantry
OCC houses the Riverside district Food Pantry. We hold annual food drives, and are available at any time a need occurs in our area. It is open to the public from 10 am - 11 am every Saturday, for those in need.
CWF - Christian Women's Fellowship
Women in our church gather every first Wednesday of the month to worship and enjoy each others' company. They discuss community topics, Oakland Manor trips, and World wide mission events. They fundraise for charities, provide dinners for funerals and the community, and provide 'sunshine' in the form of goody baskets, yearly, to those who need it.
Fundraising
As a church, we work together to improve our community ties, our fellowship outreach, and even our own linen closet supplies. Join us in stocking the food pantry of the Riverside district, donating to the building fund, or to our mission child, Christian. Attend or provide for the Farmer's Market seasonally, or our annual dinners. Visit our events page info on our latest endeavors.
