Oakland Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, is a broad spectrum group founded in the love and fellowship that Christ's church leaders established in biblical times. We believe in the bible, as the inspired word of God. We believe in the integral strength of community, as God intends. We believe in gathering togther and serving the Lord, through whichever means is necessary to complete His work and ministry. We believe in a personal and everlasting relationship with Christ, and share communion at His table every week.

 

Here at OCC, you'll find a close-knit group of people who share God's love and light through many community outreach programs and organizations. Wherever there is need in Oakland, Iowa, and beyond, this church is praying, fundraising, gathering supplies, or providing meals to meet the prescribed need. There is a broad range of shared talents to cover the groundwork set forth by God's word. 

 

You'll see produce and baked goods for sale, or creative and artistic floats in the town parade. High school kids enjoy pizza at the 5th quarter gathering after home football games. Picnics and potlucks bring members together, regularly.
